question regarding : i heart art portland

hello, i am so excited about the i heart art portland event coming up! i hope this means i get to meet a lot of people behind these great pdx team shops.

i realize this may be a silly question, but has anybody ever attended anything like this before? it is my understanding that this is a networking event and it would be a good idea to bring some promo items, business cards, etc..

i was just wondering if anybody had participated in something like this before and if so, do you have any suggestions for promotion, or perhaps suggestions on how to go about volunteering for this event?

this networking event is the first of its kind... and it will be a casual party... a meet n' greet event where people can learn more and meet other interesting people... local guild members are invited, as well as Etsy sellers and PNCA students... two employees from Etsy are planning on flying out for the event as well...

so bring your business cards! Pass them out! But keep in mind this is not a retail sales event, or a lecture, this is a party! Etsy is creating fun name tags for people to fill out and wear, so this really will be a great event for meeting your fellow makers.

and if you cannot come - stay tuned to the IHeartArt info and there will be more upcoming opportunities to network, learn and get involved. There are so many resources in the Portland Area for Etsy sellers, and hopefully this will really open up some doors for many of us!
